According to the recipe, the cake should have 6 cakes with a diameter of 15 cm, but I do not have such forms, so I baked in two split forms for a cake with a diameter of 20 cm, the dough rose and baked perfectly, and the cake consisted of 4 cakes. The glaze turned out to be the right amount, nothing left, everything went to smearing and coating.

375 ml of water
180 g butter
450 gr sifted flour
1.5 teaspoons baking soda
50 gr ground coconut
660 grams of sugar
3 eggs
125 ml of buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tsp orange peel
For sprinkling:
50 gr dried rose
100 gr coconut chips
For glaze:
250 g soft butter
100 g powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix flour, baking soda, coconut, sugar in a bowl. Melt the butter in water. Add eggs, kefir, vanilla, zest, water and butter to the flour mixture and mix until smooth. The recipe is not very clear what temperature should be water. So I first mixed in a bowl of a blender at low speed all the ingredients, and then gradually added water and oil at the time of mixing.

Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. 3 separate molds with a diameter of 15 cm lubricate with oil and completely cover with baking paper. The dough turns liquid, if you do not, it will flow. Spread the dough evenly over the forms, bake for 55 minutes. Since I baked only in two forms with a diameter of 20 cm, it took me more time for 5-10 minutes. And the top I closed the paper when it is already quite browned.
The layers are completely cool.

To prepare the frosting. Beat butter, vanilla and powdered sugar with a mixer for 10 minutes or until sugar is completely dissolved.

To assemble the cake. Cut each cake into 2 parts, coat each with icing. Cover the top and sides with icing, cool for 20 minutes, then sprinkle with dried rose petals and coconut flakes on all sides, and even better to distribute the sprinkles on a sheet of parchment paper and roll the cake in it, but I did not dare to do it) and generally in a hurry and not particularly engaged in decorating.
