Hopping straight from Bring a Trailer’s (no doubt) seven-figure sale of a 1988 Porsche 959, we thought this 1973 Citroen DS23 Pallas would serve as the perfect palate cleanser.
This is a car from the crazier era of French motoring, when sophisticated (yet fragile) engineering met spectacular styling. Cars like the Citroen DS were worlds apart from anything emerging from Italy or the U.S. This DS is in well-kept driving condition, free of any major mechanical faults. According to BaT, the car was imported to the U.S. in 2008, and received a mechanical overhaul in 2012 when the current owner purchased it.
Aside from basic maintenance, the DS comes with a brand new air-conditioning system, installed recently at cost of $3,000. Under the front hood chugs a healthy 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine with fresh hoses, wires, and other basic components. The engine sends power through a five-speed manual transmission, a powertrain combination that makes the DS good for an impressive 120 mph, according to the auction post.
This is the perfect weekend-driver classic for the unconventional enthusiast. It won’t win any races, claim any awards at a concours, nor shuttle you through the Moab rocklands, but its as strange and alluring as they come.
Head over to Bring a Trailer to place a bid on this 1973 Citroen DS23 Pallas.
Hello! I — blogger, love of God and people. Beautiful pictures — it’s very good, but we must remember that in front of us waiting for eternity and where we spend it, depends only on us!
Everyone in some sins, but the severity of this sin saved us JESUS CHRIST!
And if we repent of our sins and call upon his heart and Christ, we shall be saved from hell, which is prepared for the devil, but the devil does not want to go there himself and tempts people to sin. But God loves us, because he gave for us on the death of the most precious thing he had — his Son Jesus.
Pray a prayer: Heavenly Father! I ask you — I’m sorry, I repent of my sins, because I lived without you. Jesus Christ, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior, make me be what You want me to. I thank thee that in eternity I will be with you! Amen.
