Traditional Italian cake made of dried fruits and nuts is perfect for lean holidays. In this dessert, you can use any combination of nuts, dried fruits and spices to your taste.


almonds-150 g,
pistachio peeled-150 g,
dried figs-150 g,
dried apricots-150 g,

wheat flour-100 g,
honey-80 g,
sugar-100 g,
water — 2 tablespoons,
cinnamon ground-1 tsp,
ground ginger-0.5 tsp,
ground cloves-0.5 tsp,
nutmeg-0.5 tsp,
powdered sugar for feeding,
vegetable oil.

How to cook:

Form cover with baking paper and brush with vegetable oil. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. In a small saucepan, combine honey, water and sugar, put on fire and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and cook the honey syrup for 2-3 minutes, remove from heat and cool slightly.

Figs and dried apricots cut into pieces, mix with nuts, spices and flour. Pour in the honey mixture and stir. Transfer the mass to the prepared form, smooth with wet hands or a spoon. Put the form in the oven and bake for 25 minutes. The finished cake remove from the oven and let cool in the form. Remove the Panforte from the mold, remove the baking paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Keep the Panforte in the fridge.
